From a family that bought a pup from this litter :
I just wanted to write and tell you how thrilled and happy we are with our new puppy! Your little Abby is a perfect lady. She is also very bright and incredibly easy to train. She was potty trained after one day. She goes to the door and whimpers when she wants out. Her only mistake was my fault because I did not hear her soon enough. What a great dog! If you have someone that is looking for one of your dogs but is unsure, I will be glad to tell them our experience.
The Three Muskateers : Jack, Charlie, and Marco
I AM RUFUS HOT SAUCE
My name is MARCO, and I am now with my new family!
MONTE is the example we chose so that you could see how quickly
the pups understand that bones are treats, and should be protected
from one's siblings. It is also important because raw bones with a little beef still attached provides the pups vitamins and minerals like nothing else.
Mom & Dad At Play
We wanted you to see this video, that you might understand and see for yourself how affectionate this couple is with one another. The play and interaction is tender and loving when the pups are not around.
Play at 6 1/2 Weeks
At 6-1/2 weeks the pups become more confident, independent and playful.
They start to test their dominance, figuring out what is safe and not safe
to chew on. Mom is already not interfering, and watching from aside,
At this point, the pups are almost fully weaned. One pup or the other
may grab for a teat, but the dam is not anxious to feed them. Besides with the teeth in place, suckling is becoming uncomfortable, and supplements of raw meat and dry puppy kibble is more interesting for the pups.
Play at 5 Weeks Continues!
At this point, the mom is really watching and following the pups wherever
they are. Though seemingly aloof, nothing escapes her sharp eye, and the moment she hears a shreek, she runs to help. This also shows how important having a gentle and caring dam is. Emma, with the comfort, play and support gives the pups confidence. She also teaches them about when play has gone too far, and it is time to stop.
Play at 5 Weeks!
Five weeks is the stepping stone to when curiosity wins and the pups
slowly but surely exploring the world. The heads are constantly moving,
and they react to absolutely everything they can see, smell or hear.
They try to stay together, and follow the bolder pup who isn't afraid
to explore, in this litter, that has usually been MARCO, or ABBY
Even at this early age, the character of the pups is already formed.
We can see how persistent MARCO is in order to get his belly full.
It is a good treat.
Since the birth of the litter, every week brings something new to
the pup's development. For the first couple of weeks, the focus is
on getting a better position, closer to the dam, and get full as
possible with the mother's milk.
The sire is 27 inches, and the dam is 25. These puppies will be large as adults, sometimes called `Royal`. Though this term is not recognized by the AKC, it should be. The difference in size between the minimum for a Standard Poodle, 15 inches, and the poodles who would be called Royal, 25 inches, is substantial. These dogs are every bit as graceful, and stylish as their smaller Standard Poodle counterparts.
We consider our poodles to be Royals, though they are registered with the AKC as Standards, per their rules.
